Dare I say this is anti-climactic? A 12 bar blues exchange after metal and industrial; but for what we’re doing with assembling the Magnum Opus track, the 12 bar blues is about as common ground as exists short of just pedaling over Em, Am, etc.

So I got lazy …. I just kept the rhythm track I posted to the audition forum and added 4 solo sections.

Can’t really pick a winner from mine, it all sounds like me playing, I added one little tweak, I bought a slide on a whim this afternoon and did one set in slide, yes this was somewhat inspired by Zed alluding to Crossroads somewhere. I assure you however that Ry Cooder’s legacy is in no danger from me 1/2 hour practice with it and a google search for “slide licks in standard tuning”, this is what you get.

I’m looking forward to the combined track after all the subs are in and done. Should be fun.
