Ha, alright this is kinda ridiculous. So I’ve been studying hybrid picking and starting to get down some fun licks. They sound great on my G&L since it’s basically a souped up telecaster. I’m also transcribing and learning Grant Green tunes. Sooooooo….
I took the chords from Sookie Sookie, and using my ASAT tele did up a song with chords, a funky pop/slap bass line, and me doing a bit of hybrid picking solo over that. There’s a tiny riff about mid way that sounds totally weird, let me know what you think.
I’m also going to do a jazzy funk one a little later using some chords.
Oh and chords on this one are pretty simple. F9:F13 on the riff. C7:Bb7:Eb7:F7 on the “turnaround”. Eb9:F9 on the bridge.
