I present to you, me playing bass, piano, and guitar on this track. I went with a Lydian melody with small solo sections. The bass line just mostly follows the chords played by the piano, which I kept simple so I could play my bass. And yes, that’s a real bass and me playing with my fingers not a pick.
I also threw in a special “crabcore” surprise. Listen for it. :-)
The whole thing was recorded straight into my DP-008, since some asshole had some radio device on today that made my guitar sound like it has loose bees inside. With the DP-008 you get a very clean sound from my G&L and then I just tured the built-in rever up all the way and recorded it to two stereo tracks.
Otherwise, I’m rather pleased with myself on this one. As usual I flubbed a few notes, but otherwise I liked it. Fun.
