I listened to as much industrial metal as I could to do this one. What I came away with was that industrial metal is annoying, grating, distorted and not incredibly melodic.

So, I threw in all the effects and crunch I could. Then when it came time to record the guitars disaster struck: my Metal Muff pedal sounded like crap and was malfunctioning. I’d have to somehow invent a harsh distortion for the guitars.

I somehow managed to get two different effects out of my gear, but it’s really not the sound I was going for.

I think I’ll try to do Chapter 5 too since I had that about half-finished from last week.
