I couldn’t pull off the black metal thing to save my life. Maybe I needed a tiny little dude to scream in some kind of operatic style.
So what you have here is the darkest I could make it. A very minor chord progression played via a reverbed church organ (‘cause that’s black metal), a mixture of Harmonic Minor and Phyrgian, and a serious amount of synth distortion on the guitar.
Overall I’m happy with this, but I’m more interested in my Chapter 5 work, which I’ll save for round 9. ‘Cause that shit’s gonna be a riot.
