Taking a lead from Mick Goodrick’s interesting “Advancing Guitarist” book, what if we propose a challenge that requires soloing on only one string (unitar). Maybe the challenge dictates chords and even some restrictions (like no bends greater than 1 step), or modes (e.g., ionian). You can pick the temp/style/string.
By being disadvantaged to only playing on one string, we might learn something.
