Given that it has just been mostly me zed and hank for the last few rounds, I think we should really lower the bar. I don’t know why we had a couple of hot rounds then nothing, that may have been the peak of the promotion. In any case, I think something needs to change.
So, lets have a round or two that are completely free-form. Or with a theme that is as good as free form - like “pick your favorite <whatever > and make a submission on that theme”, where whatever can be genre, letter, key etc.
The only stipulation should be that it is original, no copyrighted material.
Then do another marketing push, pimp it up again on blogs and twitters and stuff, emphasizing the new lower bar to entry.
This may not work well with the “rating” aspect, but I don’t really care about that at this point…
