Hey,
I know there’s not too many people on here, but Chad has asked for a couple of things and I wanted to bounce them off folks:
Post videos of your own playing. This would actually be easy, I just have to update the list of “playables” that flowplayer can handle. The problem with this is hosting, since there’s no way I can afford serving video. Ideas on this?
But, Chad thought of letting people post links to youtube videos or just a general “cool stuff” forum, so maybe that could serve that purpose. Your fretwar submissions are just audio files so they can reach the largest audience, but if you wanna post videos to some site, you can do it in the “cool stuff” forum.
Another one I was thinking of, as a pressure valve, is “trash talk”. You need to be polite all over fretwar, but in trash talk you can brag and rant.
Then again, that could ruin the creative flow, so maybe only if you’re a player?
Other ideas on forums too. Tonight I’m going to put the finishing touches on the new notification system which will make the notify completely replace the need for the mailing lists. More on that later.
