Playing Fret War is easy. Just signup for an account and then send your submissions to play@fretwar.com.
We have a simple bug tracker you can enter bugs into at support.fretwar.com.
Alright, you all asked for it, and the concept album needed it, so now you have it. It hasn’t been officially tested on production, just in staging, but it should be working. I’ll be tweaking it as we submit for this round.
You can now send in multiple submissions. The work like forum posts. When you send an email to:
play@fretwar.com
You get back an update email like:
play-1234@fretwar.com
That “1234” is just a little database id. If you need to update that submission you just reply to this email (or send directly to that play-ID@fretwar.com address). As usual if you leave the body blank it updates just the files. If you send in a file with the same name it will overwrite it.
Now, if you want to send in another submission, you just send again to play@fretwar.com and it’ll kick you up a totally new one.
Each submission will also show up in the winnars listing for that round as separate submissions, but they all add up to impact your overall score (so don’t send in crap).
Try it out, and I’ll be tweaking as you do.
P.S. I also got http://songbe.at/ going. Give it a try. :-)
