I suggest you try out a couple of fingering approaches and see what’s most effective for you. One thing you should remember is to always stick to strict up/down strokes and alternate picking.
Hey Josh, can you elaborate please? What kinda problems you facing?
The way I tell people to approach technique is to try out a couple of variations and see what works best for them. If you think about it, there should be an optimally effective fingering approach that beats every other, and ideally, guitarists should stick to that technique. But the differences are so marginal that it makes no difference.
So try out a couple and let me know how it goes. If you need any help, ping me on twitter at @ahsanul. Also, If I’m free, I wouldn’t mind showing techniques on skype.
Don’t know why I hadn’t read this before. Thanks for this!
I’m struggling with the best approach for fingering for this exercise and the arpeggio exercises in the shed from 2009-11- 04. Any help?
